Artists and art community online refer to reposting as taking the art from the artist's account, as a direct download or screenshot, to post that image on their own accounts, usually without proper credit or to farm views/followers. Artists will appreciate sharing their own original post instead, as offenders often don't keep tabs on what art belongs to what artists.

As I'm not active in many social media platforms, you can ask me to post on your preferred platform. The only other way I'll allow it is asking my permission to posting my art with a link AND credit on the post caption ONLY. I don't appreciate people sharing other artist's work without a name or a link back to the artist's profile or post. Even when their work has been signed, many times it's initials, an illegible stamp or too common a word to 'just search'.
